Roblox Studio as well as any other software may produce errors on startup. It may be caused by technical breakdowns of the program itself, conflicts between software or even hardware of your PC. In this article we will consider universal ways of fixing errors in Roblox Studio.

Method #1

This way will solve most of the errors that occur when starting Roblox Studio. In our case error looks like on the screenshot below.

First of all, you need to open the folder where Roblox Studio program is installed. To do it, click on the Roblox Studio shortcut and choose Open file location.

In the folder you will find two files RobloxStudioBeta and RobloxStudioLauncherBeta. Click on one of them with PCM and select Properties.

Go to Compatibility tab and click Change settings for all users.

Check the Run the program in compatibility mode with: and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Also check the Run this program as administrator.

Repeat this operation for both RobloxStudioBeta and RobloxStudioLauncherBeta and then you’re ready to run Roblox Studio.

Method #2.

This is a universal way to fix 90% of all possible errors that happen while running Roblox Studio. Exactly in our case this error looks like on the screenshot.

First of all you need to delete Roblox Studio from your PC. Go to My Computer – Computer – Uninstall or change the program (under windows 7 you can uninstall Roblox Studio from the toolbar which you will find under Start menu).

Find Roblox Studio and click on it with the left mouse button and click on Uninstall.

Then go to Roblox.com and login to your account (or register a new account if you don’t have one). Go to Create and click on Start Creating.

On a pop up message, click Cancel.

Click Download Studio

If you used Google Chrome to download, the downloaded file will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click on it to open its location folder.

Install the downloaded file by double-clicking on it.

Done. You have reinstalled Roblox Studio and you can try to run it.
